{"id":297,"date":"2020-11-07T23:40:28","date_gmt":"2020-11-07T23:40:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.yryo.net\/en\/?p=297"},"modified":"2021-01-18T23:01:41","modified_gmt":"2021-01-18T23:01:41","slug":"self-isolation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.yryo.net\/en\/?p=297","title":{"rendered":"Self isolation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1280\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.yryo.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/IMG_3623.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-304\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I have finished self-isolation\u2014thankfully, uneventfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was my second isolation\u2014First, purely precautionary self-isolation due to possible but not confirmed contact with a person with symptoms; second,  one of my housemate tested positive with symptoms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This particular isolation was instructed via SMS from NHS track and trace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Before the SMS came through, my housemate informed everyone in the household that they&#8217;ve tested positive. There was about a day or so of lag between the initial message from my housemate to NHS tack and trace message. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I then informed university&#8217;s COVID-19 response team and they were quick\u2014within 20 min, I received reply and I was on their internal tracking system. They also continued checking-in via email and the final contact was done through the phone giving me a chance to ask questions had I had any at that point. Personally, I felt that the University&#8217;s response in this aspect was pretty good.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without going into much details, I&#8217;m happy to report that I have gone through this self-isolation without experiencing any symptom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you to those who offered to help with shopping. Luckily I happened to have had an ample supply in my pantry, and freezer. One thing I&#8217;ve learnt was that the morrison&#8217;s online shop via deliveroo was pretty good.
